Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a community-based hospice service providing care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London. Our mission is to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible while their child is still alive and go on to face the future with hope after bereavement. This is a hugely exciting time to be joining Noah’s Ark as we look to raise the funds required to expand our existing Hospice-at-Home service and construct what will be the only children’s hospice building in the area – The Ark. Our expanded care provision will ensure that we are able to offer a complete hospice service for the 1,169 babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in our catchment area. Currently our office is conveniently located off Barnet High Street, a few minutes’ walk from High Barnet station on the Northern Line. Our move to The Ark later this year will take us to a beautiful nearby 7.5-acre nature reserve in Barnet. The Role To help Noah’s Ark achieve its necessary growth we are looking for an ambitious, dedicated and reliable individual to play a key role within the busy Fundraising Team. As Community and Events Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the community and events activities, raising funds for the existing Hospice-at-Home service and helping Noah’s Ark to complete its Building The Ark (hospice building) Appeal. The successful applicant will have the desire and ability to learn fast and hit the ground running. You will be very personable and have excellent written and communication skills. You will have a real commitment to making a difference for children with life-limiting or lifethreatening conditions and their families.
