Job title; Trust Fundraising Volunteer Salary; Voluntary Work Location; Barnet London Noah’s Ark’s mission is to provide care and support for babies, children and young people who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible. We hire the best and brightest people to help make this a reality. Our Trust Fundraising Team needs a dynamic and efficient team-player, volunteering for one to two days a week. The Trust Fundraising Volunteer will play an important role in supporting Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice largest income stream. The charity’s Trust Fundraising team is having its most successful year to date, raising significant funds from charitable trusts and foundations to enable a wider breadth of care for more seriously unwell babies and children, and their families. A dedicated volunteer will support and work closely with the charity’s Trust Fundraiser to help build on this success. Main activities/tasks: Conducting prospect research to identify charitable trusts and foundations which are not currently known to Noah’s Ark but which appear to have the capacity and inclination to donate to the charity. To log the results of this research on the charity’s donor database and any relevant spreadsheets To support the charity’s Trust Fundraiser by liaising with colleagues from Noah’s Ark’s Care Team to request information and data for inclusion in trust applications. As the role develops, there may also be the opportunity for the Trust Fundraising Volunteer to contact and apply to trusts directly. Skills and experience required: • Strong attention to detail • Excellent organisational skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Good working knowledge of basic IT programmes (Word, Excel etc) • A commitment to abiding by all data protection and confidentiality policies within Noah’s Ark Experience (desirable) • Previous fundraising experience • Familiarity with fundraising databases • Noah’s Ark takes its responsibility for safeguarding the wellbeing of children seriously. This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Application. Two references are also required.
