Membership Development Officer

Part-time, Contract: 21 hours per week. Salary: £26,000.00 to £28,000.00 /year The Membership Development Officer will take responsibility for projects that enhance the services, skills and capacity of local voluntary and community sector according to our members’ organisational requirements, for example: - Quality standards - Monitoring and evaluation - Partnership framework - Training Responsibilities include: Meet with and support members to develop their offer and scope/broker relationships (and ultimately partnerships) between member organisations Support development and capacity building of individual organisations - to include areas such as due diligence, quality assurance, systems for finance, monitoring and evaluation and peer support Keep up to date member profiles on CRM system, logging reach, capacity, current delivery and development plans Organise, oversee and conduct membership and partnership events The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills or characteristics in the application. It is essential that you give evidence or examples of your experience, knowledge and skills where possible. Desired experience includes: Working with a range of stakeholders Working with third sector organisations Effective collaborative working and partnership building Providing capacity and development support to organisations Event planning, organisation and delivery Working with volunteers Desired skills and knowledge includes: A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young Londoners and an interest in helping children and young people fulfill their potential A demonstrable understanding of current voluntary and community sector concerns Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities Policy and sensitivity to equality/diversity issues Knowledge of relevant Charities, Employment and Health & Safety legislation Ability to engage and communicate effectively to a range of audiences, using different mediums, with written good skills Planning and organisational skills, including ability to plan, prioritise and deliver a complex workload Strong ICT skills, with experience of using Microsoft Office. Experience with Salesforce/CRM systems preferred but not mandatory. Ability to prepare and make presentations to a small audience An understanding of measuring impact in a social/education environment Other Information: Friendly, flexible and enjoy being part of a small but perfectly formed team Flexible working hours
